Chelsea consider ‘launching offer’ for Aubameyang alternative – Player missed training today

These are undoubtedly key hours for Premier League clubs to secure their needs at the end of the transfer window. In Chelsea’s case, that seems to be the hunt for a centre-forward, as it’s been widely reported that they’re in talks for Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

However, with the talks not moving fast, it seems the Blues already have other options in mind. And one of them is RCD Espanyol’s Raul De Tomas.

Sport today claims the player is ‘still on the table of several teams, specifically the Premier League’. There, Chelsea are labelled as the ‘most notorious’ contenders.

It’s said Thomas Tuchel’s side ‘would consider launching an offer’ for the striker in case they fail to land Aubameyang from Barcelona. The amount they’d pay for Raul de Tomas isn’t revealed, although the outlet mentions he has a €30m market value.

With his exit from Espanyol being a real possibility, it’s just been reported by Esports RAC that he missed training at the club today, as he’s ‘looking for an exit’ in the last hours of the transfer window.

Fulham have also been linked to the player.
