Juventus left-back Alex Sandro was continually in the spotlight in the summer transfer window.

With the interest from Chelsea not being a secret, there was always some expectation that Antonio Conte would get the player, but the Serie A side ended up keeping their man.

Italian website Calcio Mercato has a story recalling those moves, saying the offers gwent over €70m, but as the player didn’t force his way out, Juve didn’t feel the need to sell.

However, the situation has been changing a bit. It’s stated Alex Sandro hasn’t started the season well, even spending a few games on the bench, something that was certainly not expected.

And that scenario obviously makes Juve think about next summer. Even though it’s still too early to make decisions, they must be prepared in case Alex Sandro keeps doing badly.

As Chelsea ‘have already made it clear’ they are ready for a new attempt, the Old Lady are considering other options, which would include bringing Faouzi Ghoulam from Lazio.

So the form of the ‘distracted’ player could even make an easier way for Chelsea. But something very important that Calcio Mercato doesn’t mention is: would Juve give a discount? Because Conte may be keen, but he’s certainly not stupid.
