Hertha Berlin and Stuttgart have joined the race to sign Fenerbahce defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim, according to claims in the Turkish media. The left back was linked with a move to Celtic in the last window, following claims the Scottish Premiership had entered talks to sign the player.
Fanatik claim Celtic have been following the Turkey international for most of the season, but Brendan Rodgers will now face competition to sign the full back in the summer.
During the last window we covered reports from Turkey claiming Celtic manager Rodgers is keen on Ali Hasan and wants to bring in the defender to provide competition to Mikael Lustig and Emilio Izaguirre.
Celtic have already had preliminary discussions with Hasan Ali’s agent, as claimed by the Turkish press in January. It’s been reported Celtic have offered £1.6m a year to Hasan Ali and the Scottish club are also prepared to give him a £1m signing on-fee.
