Celtic haven’t lost at home this year and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to extend that record when they face Lazio at Celtic Park on Wednesday.

The Scottish Premiership champions have started the season quite well, while the same cannot be said about the Serie A side. They are 17th in the table after managing only two wins from seven league games.

Corriere dello Sport, relayed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, state Lazio are preparing to face Celtic with a ‘complex situation’ as the visitors are trying to ‘balance priorities’ between the league and the Champions League.

Lazio suffered a 2-1 defeat in Celtic Park in 2019 and the fixture saw clashes between a certain section of the supporters. Taking the history into account, Corriere have warned the travelling Lazio fans of ‘possible tensions’ with Celtic supporters today.

Over at Cittaceleste, they state 867 Lazio supporters have arrived in Scotland yesterday, and have already been told that Celtic fans are planning to create a ‘hostile environment’ for Sarri’s side.

The outlet states this is ‘predictable’, as the reaction from Celtic’s support to Lazio’s fanbase was expected, especially given the poor reputation of the latter.

Some Lazio fans have been trying to change that, but it doesn’t appear to have had much impact yet.
