According to a claim in the Italian media, Massimo Cellino is already at ‘loggerheads’ with his former Leeds United sporting director Nicola Salerno.

The pair were only reunited at Brescia last week, after their time together at Leeds United.

Bresciaoggi have reported Cellino isn’t impressed with the commitment of Salerno since he was installed as the Brescia sporting director last week.

The former Leeds United owner isn’t impressed with the lack of time Salerno is spending with the Serie B club, and it came to a head last weekend when he spent the weekend with his daughter, rather being present at Brescia’s trip to Frosinone.

There’ve even been talks the two Italians could again go their separate ways, as they did when Salerno left Leeds United for Watford after just a season at Elland Road.

However, it’s still possible Cellino could reconcile with Salerno, and put recent events behind them for the sake of Brescia.

Cellino will still be hoping they can recreate the relationship they had at Caligari, where they had plenty of success. This can’t be said during their time at Leeds United when their policy of recruiting from Italy didn’t really pay off.

This situation is genuinely funny, even for Cellino escapades.
