With Turkish clubs often investing big amounts in the signings of players who are no longer wanted in the Premier League, Galatasaray made some of those operations lately.

One of those arrivals was the one of Tanguy Ndombélé, who is currently loaned by Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season.

Now, despite the many claims about how much Galatasaray are paying for his salary, outlet Fotospor now brings quotes from Fenerbahce president Ali Koç who doubts he is receiving that much.

According the rivals’ chief, the numbers which have been circulating in the media are completely different from reality, and the Tottenham player is one of those in the list, alongside Wilfried Saha, Hakim Ziyech and Tete.

“They’ve supposedly stolen a lot of transfers from us this season. They shouted it out loud and announced it. There are four footballers they transferred, the prices in the official contract cannot be real. The money they paid to the footballer and the money written in the contract are different.”

Fotosport says the midfielder’s salary is worth €3.136m per season.

Now, regardless of how much Galatasaray are paying to have Ndombélé, it seems obvious that he’s been below expectations in his season in Turkey.

The midfielder may have 25 appearances for the club this season, but most of them have come from him just playing for a few minutes at the end of matches.

With the buying option very unlikely to be triggered, Ndombélé is still set to have a contract with Tottenham running until 2025.
