Arsenal striker Leandro Trossard has spoken to the Brazilian media about the Gunners’ recent form.

Speaking to ESPN Brasil reporter João Castelo Branco, the 28-year-old talked mostly about the great campaign Arsenal have been having in the Premier League.

That interview was given following Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Fulham last weekend, and one of the questions was about the club’s unexpected fight for the title, with them currently being six points clear at the top of the table.

“It’s a group of friends, I would say, and we work for each other. Someone makes a bad pass the other one will make up for it and that’s how we can win things and football,” Trossard told ESPN Brasil.

“Everyone has his head in the same direction and you can see it on the pitch but also off the pitch. It’s such a great group and the atmosphere is amazing, and that’s what makes a difference in football, I think.”

Trossard also talked about his adaptation. Following his €24m move from Brighton & Hove Albion in January, he already has 10 appearances for the Gunners, with one goal scored and five assists made. He claims everyone at the club was responsible for him having a quick impact on the team.

“Yeah, obviously, otherwise I just wouldn’t have made that move. I’m always confident that I can play in a bigger team as well. And obviously when Arsenal came for me I knew straight away that was a perfect step for me.

“It’s a perfect group as well and that application was really smooth because also the team welcomed me from the first day. I felt like I was at home, almost, and that makes it so much easier for a new player to adapt. And credit for all the boys and everyone who is involved with Arsenal.”

Following last night’s Europa League clash, Arsenal now switch back to the Premier League, and prepare to face Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Players are then off for the international break, and Mikel Arteta’s side will be back in action on the 1st of April, when the Gunners face Leeds United.
