Following a draw against Venezuela and a loss to Uruguay in this international break, the Brazilian national team has been under big pressure from the local media, who are now questioning the quality of Fernando Diniz’s work.

Someone who doesn’t have anything with do with it is West Ham United star Lucas Paquetá. That’s because since the new manager took charge, the midfielder has not been called up.

Since it’s a fact that Brazil’s midfield hasn’t been doing well, Lance now gathers some comments which ask for the Hammers’ player to return into the squad.

“The truth is that Paquetá is missed. A lot. I’d put a midfielder in Neymar’s place. Veiga or Gerson. Another chance for Richarlison,” said Luis Felipe Freitas.

“But they swore to me that Lucas Paquetá isn’t missed by the Brazilian national team,” wrote Paula Mattos.

Paquetá was originally in Fernando Diniz’s first squad, but with the investigation over his betting involvement coming out at the same time, he ended up being cut out from the list. Now he was left out by the manager’s own decision.

Brazil have been using Casemiro and Bruno Guimarães in midfield, with both not doing well lately, and a front four with Neymar as the number 10.

That clearly isn’t working well, and as the Al-Hilal star is now injured, perhaps the West Ham player will have a new chance to be their creative man in the next international break.
