Jorge Mendes has made a trip to Barcelona to talk about several potential deals, including Ansu Fati and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rúben Neves.

Earlier on Tuesday, Sport reiterated the winger isn’t keen on Wolves while Neves still wants to make a switch to the Camp Nou. Mendes had reportedly tried to carry out a swap between Wolves and the La Liga for the two players, with the latter set to receive an additional €30m.

After his meeting with Barcelona, the super-agent was seen heading into the airport, where he talked about Fati and the Wolves midfielder. Jijantes FC have relayed Mendes’ comments.

With regards to the Spain international, he said: “Ansu wants to stay. In the last two games he has scored three goals, what else do you want? He is a phenomenon; he will be a Ballon d’Or [winner] one day.”

This, for now, should at least put an end to reports linking Fati to Julen Lopetegui’s side.

Neves has just over a year left on his contract at Wolves. Sport had earlier reported the 26-year-old has agreed personal terms for a four-year deal with the Catalan club, even though Xavi Hernández isn’t keen on his arrival.

On Neves, Mendes explained: “Be calm with Ruben Neves.”

In the event Mendes cannot place the Wolves star at Barca, he may have to find another solution for him.
