Earlier on on Monday, it was claimed that Hannes Delcroix was very close to signing for Burnley from RSC Anderlecht after passing his medical.

Well, journalist Sacha Tavolieri has now brought an update on Twitter about the situation, and reveals the deal is now done and dusted.

That’s because Delcroix has now ‘signed’ his three-year contract with Burnley, which will make him available for the Clarets’ next game.

The 24-year-old’s transfer is now expected to be made official ‘soon’, and the Belgium international, born in Haiti, will become the club’s latest signing.

Following their promotion from the Championship last season under Vincent Kompany, Burnley have added numerous players to their squad from all around the globe.

Delcroix will be their 12th arrival of the summer, after signing Jacob Bruun Larsen on loan, Lawrence Vigouroux and Nathan Redmond on a free, and combining €91.6m of purchases for Luca Koleosho, Michael Obafemi, Dara O’Shea, Wilson Odobert, Sander Berge, Jordan Beyer, James Trafford and Zeki Amdouni.
