Brighton & Hove Albion secured a point after the 1-1 draw against Manchester City at The Amex on Wednesday and it has helped them qualify for the Europa League next season.

The Seagulls can now focus on reshaping Roberto De Zerbi’s squad in the summer window and have already been linked to a few players. At the same time, the Premier League side continue to strongly think about the future.

That’s at least what TuttoMercatoWeb are reporting and add that Brighton have their eyes set on Benfica youngster Luís Semedo.

The 19-year-old, who is yet to make his debut for the Eagles’ senior team, has a contract expiring on June 30th.

Semedo’s performances and the contract situation have caught Brighton’s attention. It’s stated De Zerbi’s side have already started contacts with the Portugal U20 international’s entourage over a potential free deal in the summer.

TMW add Brighton ‘would like to close the agreement shortly’ for Semedo. This indicates the English club are not only looking at players for their first team but also ‘continue to hunt’ for young talents in the market.
