Brighton & Hove Albion have their eyes set on Juventus youngster Joseph Nonge Boende.

The 17-year-old came through the ranks of the Serie A side’s youth system and has been part of their U19 squad since 2022. He made his first appearance for Juventus Next Gen [U23] in Serie C last weekend.

His development has caught the attention of several clubs, with Brighton ‘in particular’ being interested. That’s according to Calciomercato, who state the Seagulls ‘want to steal’ the midfielder from Juventus.

It’s further claimed Roberto De Zerbi’s side are ‘serious’ about signing the Belgium U18 international.

Brighton would be able to secure Joseph Nonge Boende’s services after this season since he will turn 18-years-of-age in May and will be eligible to move to the UK.

Juventus won’t make it easy for the Premier League side as their idea is to tie the teenager to a new contract after he turns 18.

His current deal expires in 2024 and the Old Lady have already started negotiations over a four or five-year contract. The report states the two parties are ‘speaking with confidence’.

This could make it difficult for Brighton to ‘steal’ Joseph Nonge Boende from Juventus.
