Despite the exits of Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo, Brighton & Hove Albion have strengthened their midfield adequately, which means someone like Steven Alzate can leave.

The Colombia international is of interest to a number of clubs, including Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers, two Premier League sides who are on the lookout for some late deals.

The latest news comes from Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, who dedicates a tweet to the Brighton midfielder and the situation unfolding around him.

He explains that the player’s departure from the Seagulls is ‘imminent’, as the midfielder, who spent last season out on loan at Standard Liège in Belgium, is ‘analysing various options’ that he currently has on the table with the ‘recent interest’ from Everton and Wolves.

Sierra adds that 24-year-old also held some talks with Sevilla and Fiorentina last week, but nothing has been decided to date.

All he appears to know is that Alzate will leave Brighton at some point in the next 30 or so hours, and it could be to Everton or Wolves, who are being very active in the final stages of this summer’s transfer window.
