Brighton & Hove Albion have made an approach for Internacional midfielder Johnny, the Brazilian media says.

Outlet Globo Esporte today reveals that the Seagulls have been monitoring the player, and after making an ‘enquiry’ for the signing, they now evaluate the chances of making an attempt.

But Brighton are only one of the clubs who are interested, as the likes of Betis, Roma and Spezia are all following him as well.

Inter are aware of how wanted the midfielder is, and are already getting prepared for a potential sale, willing to accept €8m with his departure, plus the percentage of a future transfer.

Johnny himself is apparently getting ready to make the transfer to Europe, as he recently worked to get his Italian passport, which will make a transfer easier.

It therefore all seems like a matter of who is ready to make the biggest bet on his signing, although it sounds like Brighton may have better financial conditions than others.

The midfielder was born in the United States, but soon moved to Brazil, having been at Inter since he was a teenager.

At 21, he already has 102 appearances for the club.
