Happy with the success of South Americans in the squad, Brighton & Hove Albion now seem to have a new target for the summer window.

Earlier today, we’ve seen French outlet Foot Mercato saying the Seagulls are ‘seduced’ by Argentine winger Alan Velasco.

It turns out their interest is now backed up by his home country’s press, where Vermouth Deportivo brings more details on this chase.

The outlet writes that Brighton are keeping an eye on the FC Dallas star, as he’s a ‘highly accessible’ target for the Premier League club this summer.

It’s claimed that the ‘investigations’ from the Seagulls have’ just begun’, but the 20-year-old could indeed be moving there this summer, even though he’s unlikely to meet his compatriot Alexis Mac Allister, who’s expected to be sold.

This isn’t the first time Brighton have been linked to Velasco, as back in 2021, they were said to be interested in signing him from Independiente.

The winger ended up joining Dallas a year ago on a €6m deal, and as he continues to show his potential there, the Seagulls seem set to try again.
