Following a not so great loan at OGC Nice during the first half of the season, Mads Bech Sorensen returned to Brentford FC.

Signed from AC Horsens back in 2017, the player has come through the ranks with the Premier League club, eventually earning the trust of Thomas Frank.

However, with limited space in the first-team, it was deemed that a loan away from Brentford would be best, which is why he was sent to the south of France.

There, he failed to make an appearance for Nice, which is why he returned, and is now set to head almost straight back out, this time to Groningen.

The fact he didn’t play for the Ligue 1 side will have helped this move to materialise, and BT in Denmark, relayed by Bold, explain Brentford and the Eredivisie side ‘have agreed’ on a loan.

The player now ‘just needs the medical check’ before he can be officially announced as their new signing, which will see him stay there until the end of the season.

It’s then added that once this deal ends, he could also find himself as a free agent, since his contract with Brentford will also come to an end.

We’ll have to wait and see if he renews first before heading out, but, either way, Sorensen appears to be off to the Netherlands.
