It’s been a long summer for Emerson Palmieri and everyone who’s been following his situation at Chelsea.
For months, the Italian media had been confident that the left-back would be moving back to Serie A, as several clubs were said to be in talks with the Blues.
Nothing has happened so far, and as the end of the transfer window gets closer, it seems there’s a good chance he could end up staying at Stamford Bridge.
This possibility is backed up today by his agent Fernando Garcia. He was interviewed by website Tutto Juve, and turned down the gossip, claiming that Palmieri isn’t looking for a way out of Chelsea.
“I always read that Emerson is close to Juventus, but I can reiterate that there have never been contacts in this transfer window with the bianconero club.”
Tutto Juve even highlights the fact that Garcia recently talked about Palmieri’s possible return to Italy, but he now prefers to go the other way.
“Right now it’s hard to talk about his farewell, the boy only thinks of Chelsea.”
Palmieri played 90 minutes against Barnsley in the EFL Cup this week, but wasn’t picked by Frank Lampard for the Blues’ matches in the Premier League so far.
