Bournemouth are leading the race to sign Arnaut Danjuma back from Villarreal, according to reports.

As journalist Ignazio Genuardi features a story about the race for the player, it’s pointed out it’s the Cherries who are the closest to signing him.

It’s first recalled that Danjuma had been ‘concretely approached’ by Everton, but despite him ‘heading to a return’ to the Premier League, it’s Bournemouth who ‘hold the rope’ to get him.

Genuardi says Gary O’Neil’s side would initially sign him on loan, but it remains to be seen how the final formula would be done, as that could include an obligatory buying option.

It’s also added that besides Everton, the likes of Nottingham Forest and West Ham United have also shown their interest in the player.

Danjuma left Bournemouth to join Villarreal in a €23.5m deal in 2021. Playing for the La Liga side, he had 22 goals and four assists in 51 appearances.

Those are even better numbers than he had when playing for the Cherries, but with not being a regular starter in Spain, a loan seems to be on the table.
