AS Roma are looking to get rid of Justin Kluivert in this window and earlier claims from Italy stated AFC Bournemouth are trying to sign him.

Having cashed in from Benjamin Tahirović’s sale to Ajax, the Serie A side’s general manager, Tiago Pinto, is now pushing to sell the winger to the Cherries.

That’s according to ASRomaLive.it, who say the Italian club and Bournemouth have ‘come closer’ on their positions for the 24-year-old’s transfer.

It’s claimed the player has already given his approval to joining Gary O’Neil’s side, who are looking to agree a deal with the Giallorossi for around €11-12m.

The report adds ‘there are intense hours’ for the Netherlands international’s potential sale to the Premier League side.

Last season, Kluivert was on loan at Valencia, who decided against exercising the buying option. He’s been subject to interest from several clubs since then, but Bournemouth’s ‘acceleration in the last few hours’ could help them get the deal over the line.

Roma are trying to raise funds and the Dutchman’s sale to Bournemouth will help them in this regard.
