Fulham have reportedly failed in their attempt to get Silas signed from Stuttgart.

According to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Bundesliga side ‘have rejected’ the latest offer made by the Craven Cottage side.

It seems there’s no chance of a turnaround, as it’s claimed that Silas ‘will stay’ at Stuttgart for the rest of the season.

Plettenberg writes that club boss Fabian Wohlgemuth and agent Mehmet Eser took the decision about his stay ‘a few minutes ago’.

It had been the very same reporter who, earlier today, revealed that Fulham were attempting to sign Silas.

It was said the Whites were pushing for a loan until the end of the season, then an obligation to buy the player for around €15m.

It now seems that wasn’t near enough to convince Stuttgart, as the club rejected the offer right away and they’re not even negotiating for a different type of deal.

Fulham seem to be keen on making some late additions for the rest of the season, and it’s always hard to negotiate with so little time left.
