Fanatik report Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are set to go head to head to sign Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata.

It’s been well documented both Istanbul clubs are looking to sign a central defender before next week’s Super Lig transfer deadline.

Fenerbahce have just two senior central defenders at the club and will look to land the Celtic man.

Galatasaray have also moved on to other targets after Lyon managed to bring in Manchester City’s Jason Denayer, another target, and Fanatik say the two local rivals will target the Celtic player.

Denayer’s situation has been a cause of concern for Celtic, and the player’s agent has made it clear a transfer is desired. Brendan Rodgers will not have wanted the player to leave Celtic Park, but his contract situation is an issue and the agitating for a move will be a factor.

Fanatik cover Scottish claims of an offer from Sevilla, but now the La Liga club face competition from Turkey and that could be a good thing for Celtic.

The former Manchester City defender has just year left on his current contract.
