Aston Villa and Tottenham appear to be battling over the signing of Galatasaray’s Nicolò Zaniolo, who could again move this summer.

That’s according to TuttoJuve, who say the Italian is once again set to be ‘one of the key players’ of the upcoming summer transfer window.

They explain that there are several clubs interested in acquiring his services, with Juventus one of them, hence TuttoJuve’s report.

The Italian side are ‘following’ the midfielder but he has a ‘bigger offer on the table’ from the Premier League, where both Aston Villa and Tottenham ‘dream of signing him’.

Zaniolo has a €35m release clause in his current contract and the interested parties have set about working out if they will need to match that or if Galatasaray will do a different deal.

The Italian clubs, namely AC Milan and Juventus, would like to do a loan deal or even a swap deal if possible with the Turkish giants for the player, who they signed from Roma in a €15m deal.

Neither Aston Villa or Tottenham, particularly the former, would need that as they have money to spend and the suggestion of them putting bigger offers on the table suggests they are ready to spend it to get their man.
