As you’ll be more than aware by this point, Patrick Cutrone has had something of a rough time since joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2019.
He arrived at Molineux having impressed with AC Milan in Italy but never hit the ground running in the midlands and by January 2020 had been shipped out on loan to Fiorentina.
That spell lasted a year but failed to reignite things how he might have liked, and so, back in January, Wolves sent him out on loan again, this time to Valencia.
The move to La Liga was another roll of the dice for the Italian, who had failed to take advantage of Raul Jimenez’s injury to stake a claim at Wolves when he returned in January.
It’s a desperate time for him, and one Super Deporte say is only getting worse in their coverage today.
They report that ‘something’s up with Cutrone’ as he’s been left out of interim manager Voro’s squads for the last two games, while he was also missing for Valencia’s last game under Javi Gracia too.
The newspaper say it is ‘evident’ that something is going on with the Italian, who has managed just 101 minutes in total, while the most he’s managed in a single game is 25.
This is all despite his ‘firm will’ to continue at the club next season despite the fact his loan deal from Wolves ends in the summer.
They believe his frustration has been borne out on social media, where he recently posted a picture of himself in an Italy shirt.
The suggestion is that the message is clear, and the photo ‘is worth a thousand words’ to Valencia, who appear to have given up as much as Wolves have.
