Following all the saga involving Nicolo Zaniolo back in the January transfer window, it seems the player could now have another chance to move to the Premier League.

According to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Monchi’s arrival at Aston Villa could bring the 23-year-old to Villa Park.

The report claims that with the director ready to say goodbye to Sevilla, he wants to ‘land a few shots’ in his first days working at the Premier League side.

It’s claimed it’s ‘no mystery’ that Monchi is an admirer of Zaniolo, having tried to bring him to the Spanish club, and could now do the same at Aston Villa.

The midfielder left Roma for Galatasaray in January, and it’s said that after the title triumph in Turkey, he’s again wanted in the transfer market.

Juventus are one of the clubs who want to take Zaniolo back to Italy, having been keen previously, but Monchi could try to bring him to Aston Villa ‘if all the dominoes were to fall into place’.

The 23-year-old has a contract with Galatasaray running until 2027. The Turkish side spent only €15m to sign him, although he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €27m.

One to keep an eye on should Monchi arrive.
