Despite how important he is to Everton, there was always a chance that Amadou Onana could leave Goodison Park in January, and Arsenal are the ones desperately trying to get hold of him in the next few weeks.

That’s what Sacha Tavolieri is reporting on Monday, claiming there are ‘intensive’ talks taking place between the Gunners and the Toffees for the Belgium international.

It’s explained that Onana always wanted to stay in the Premier League were he to leave Everton in the near future, and a move to Arsenal would certainly allow that to happen.

The young midfielder is reportedly ‘keen on the move’, clearly seeing this as the perfect opportunity to take another step in his flourishing career, all the while giving the club that gave him a chance in England the money everyone knows they need.

In fact, such is the situation, that Tavolieri believes ‘things could develop quickly’, meaning Arsenal could already be getting closer and closer to adding another exceptional player to their midfield, as they continue their pursuit of a Premier League title after last season’s late collapse.
