Signed from Aston Villa right at the end of the summer transfer window to replace Beto, Keinan Davis has had a beginning of the 2023-24 to forget with Udinese.

Returning from a loan at Watford, the striker soon picked up an injury that kept him out of action for many months, leading to the Italian media heavily questioning whether or not he would ever make it onto a pitch for the Serie A side.

However, Tutto Udinese believe the end of his drama is in sight, as his ‘interminable ordeal’ after his Aston Villa exit could be finally over.

He made his debut recently, coming off the bench in a 2-1 loss against Lazio for seven minutes, which was enough to capture the attention of his club’s fans.

The outlet right that his ‘physicality’ was immediately on display, and he started ‘showing off interesting qualities’.

Clearly eager to prove himself after so long on the sidelines following his exit from Aston Villa, the 25-year-old has given his team a bit of hope that the €2.2m spent on him weren’t in vain.

He still needs time to get a full start, and can be seen as a ‘new signing’ for the Italians, who have always known Davis not to be a great goalscorer, but more of a player who can be a nuisance to a backline, all the while finding the back of the net from time to time.
