It’s back. Santi Cazorla to Juventus is back.

Starting towards the end of October, the player’s ‘refusal’ to sign a new contract with Arsenal led to rumours he could leave on a free at the end of the season, considering his current deal runs out in June 2017.

This prospect of a ‘free’ deal for a player of Santi Cazorla’s ability has caught the eye of Juventus’ CEO Beppe Marotta, and Tuttosport report on Thursday that the diminutive Spaniard is on a list of potential recruits for next summer.

Of course, this could all drastically change if the Arsenal star decides to prolong his adventure under Arsène Wenger at the Emirates, but for now, he’ll be free to talk to any club he wants to from the first of January onwards.

Currently outwith an Achilles injury, the 31-year-old had, until the game against Ludogorets, been a key player for Arsenal, taking part in every single game apart from the 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup.

Such trust in the player suggests Wenger could very well be willing to accommodate the Spaniard for an extra season or so, and considering the player has admitted to wanting a new deal at Arsenal, the ball is strongly in the club’s court as things stand.
