According to a claim in the Italian media Lazio attacker Felipe Andersson has asked to leave the Serie A club.

The Brazilian has been strongly linked with a move to West Ham United in recent months and it’s claimed they remain ‘vigilant’ on signing the player.

TMW have reported on the latest developments over Anderson’s future, with the player set to return from Brazil today. It’s claimed Anderson will meet with Lazio president Claudio Lottio and again ask for a move this summer.

The Italian football outlet say West Ham’s interest in the attacking midfielder remains strong following weeks of talks to get a deal done.

Only last week we covered reports from Italy that West Ham were working hard to find an agreement to sign Anderson.

It was reported the Hammers are looking to sign the 25 year old, along with his Lazio teammate Jordan Lukaku, and were ready to pay €45m..

However, despite claims an agreement was close the two players are still Lazio players. There’s been complications with Lazio reportedly trying to build a double deal which would see them receive less for Anderson and more for Lukaku, to avoid paying Santos everything they’re due on a kickback.
