According to reports in the Italian media, Genoa attacker Diego Laxalt would like a move to Liverpool this summer.
The Uruguay international has been linked with a transfer to the Premier League in recent weeks, with claims West Ham have tabled a bid for the player.
TMW report, from Italian TV, that despite interest from West Ham and Serie A side Torino, Laxalt dreams of a move to Liverpool. It’s been claimed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of the South American, and could look to come in for the winger before the window closes.
The Merseyside club have already brought in Mohamed Salah, but Klopp could still look to bolster his attacking options.
Earlier this week we covered reports from Italy that West Ham had lodged a €10m bid to sign Laxalt from Genoa. The Hammers have been linked with Laxalt in recent months, and they’ve now reportedly made a move for the player.
However, it could be questioned why West Ham manager Slaven Bilic would want to bring in another left sided attacker after recently signing Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City. Laxalt’s Liverpool dreams may well be an attraction for fans, and with the player’s contract running out next summer, Klopp could get a value deal.
