Leicester City and Watford are two of a number of clubs with interest in Angers attacker Karl Toko Ekambi.

The Cameroon international could leave the Ligue 1 side this summer, and the two join Rennes and Bordeaux with their interest.

L’Equipe have today reported Toko Ekambi is in great demand this summer, after impressing for Angers last season. The 24 year old scored seven goals for the French club, mainly deployed in wide areas. This has led to interest from others, with Leicester City and Watford both tracking the player.

For much of the summer it’s been expected Toko Ekambi will leave Angers, but the club are now more determined to keep him, and L’Equipe believe an exit will depend on what else happens for Angers in the market.

It wouldn’t take too high an offer from Watford or Leicester to seriously test that theory.
