Earlier today, we covered an article looking at the situation of Boubacar Kamara and Didier Deschamps’ decision to leave him out of the France squad.

The Aston Villa defensive midfielder had been called up in June, and while Steven Gerrard’s side as a whole haven’t done well this season, there was hope he would remain in the team.

That wasn’t the case, as the manager decided to initially leave the player out, leading to questions about his long-term future and chances for the World Cup.

However, it appears the Aston Villa man will get a chance to show Deschamps what he can do after all, as it’s been announced he will be joining up with the France squad.

That’s because Adrien Rabiot, who was chosen in his stead, isn’t fit enough, and Foot Mercato journalist Sébastien Denis relays the information that the Villan was called up to replace him.

This will a nice boost for the Aston Villa midfielder, although whether he ends up playing in either of the Nations League fixtures remains to be seen.
