Three days ago, Bild reported Aston Villa have tabled a new and improved bid of €50m to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby.

On Tuesday, L’Equipe stated the Villans’ offer included a €45m fixed fee plus €5m bonuses while Al-Nassr, who are also interested in the winger, have made an offer of around €43m. It was also said the two clubs are waiting for the German side to respond to their offers.

RMC Sport now cover Aston Villa and the Saudi Arabian club’s pursuit of the 24-year-old.

It’s stated Unai Emery’s side and Leverkusen have ‘almost agreed’ a deal of around €50m including bonuses for the Frenchman.

Al-Nassr haven’t yet given up and after their first offer of €43m was rejected by Leverkusen, the website adds they are set to return with a improved written offer.

RMC Sport state Aston Villa and the Bundesliga side are ‘close to an agreement’ and the former would like to complete the deal for Diaby ‘quickly’. They add the player will have to make a decision on his next destination.

Operating mainly on the right wing, Diaby scored 14 goals and registered 11 assists from 48 games last season.
