Earlier on Thursday, we covered an article in Mundo Deportivo about Vitor Roque and Arsenal’s desire to sign him.

The player is said to be determined to sign for Barcelona when he leaves Athletico Paranaense, but those around him were pushing for a move to the Premier League.

The latter is good news for Arsenal, and an update from the same Mundo Deportivo suggests they might still have a chance of convincing him.

That’s because the Brazilian starlet will ‘wait until July’ to decide his future, as he ‘doesn’t want to rush his decision’ regarding a future transfer.

His father was recently spotted in Paris and London, where Arsenal are said to be the ones who are ‘pushing the most’ to sign him, as Edu Gaspar continues to be hard at work.

Following the success of players like Gabriel Martinelli, that’s no surprise on their part, with everyone very aware of how talented Roque is.

Still, the player would prefer a move to Barcelona, and he will wait until July to make a decision, at which point he and the La Liga club hope the whole FFP situation is clearer.

Should it be, it could give them the chance to move for the striker, but if they can’t, or don’t, then he could opt ‘for another of the offers’ on the table, like Arsenal.
