During the night taking us from Monday to Tuesday, a video emerged on William Saliba’s social networks that caused immediate controversy.

We won’t describe what happens in the video other than the fact the Arsenal player was in an official France tracksuit, but it was swiftly deleted, although not before it was downloaded and spread on social media.

Coming a few hours after the Gunners loanee, currently at OGC Nice, had some digs at Mikel Arteta on the radio, it wasn’t the best of looks, adding to an already busy 24 hours or so in the media for the defender.

RMC Sport report on the follow up actions to be taken by the French Football Federation, explaining they have decided to gather their Federal Disciplinary Commission, as they see the video as ‘harmful to their image and football as whole’.

Thus, an inquiry ‘will be opened’ into how the video surfaced on the player’s social media despite it believed to be ‘a few years old’, meaning he’s currently under investigation.

We’ll let you know of the outcome when and if there is one.
