Just a couple of hours ago, Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb had published a story claiming the talks between Arsenal and Juventus for Arthur had ‘stalled’.
It was claimed that the formula put on the table by the Gunners hadn’t been enough to convince the Old Lady, and this impasse was stopping the transfer from happening.
Now it turns out that, in a new update from the website, Arsenal ‘do not give up’ on the signing. It’s claimed the Premier League club ‘in the last few hours have had and will have’ new contacts with the Bianconeri.
The piece doesn’t make it clear what arguments the Gunners will use to try to convince Juventus, even though they clearly must have something to say to continue the negotiations.
It’s once again explained that Arthur is keen on the transfer, as he ‘said yes to Arteta and Arsenal’, and is ‘very attracted’ by the chance of being a key player in London.
That being said, it’s also pointed out that Juventus will only let the Brazilian go once they have a replacement in hand, so his departure may not depend on the Gunners’ improved offer.
So far, all the Italian media knows it that Arsenal want the player on loan until the end of the season, and even though they’d pay for his full salary, there’d be no fee included.
