Representatives of Lazio star Gustav Isaksen are refusing to comment on a potential move to Tottenham, with the whole idea now being questioned.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who doubt that Tottenham could be in for the winger given his lack of consistency this season.

The newspaper explains that there is a real debate over who the ‘real Isaksen’ is as he often flips between excellent and anonymous, or worse, useless.

Everyone is asking that question about him and there’s a desire for the player to start presenting his best version on a more consistent basis.

Recent reports had linked him with a move to Tottenham, but this was ‘not confirmed by his staff’. In other words, Corriere doubt them because the agents weren’t interested in talking about them.

They also seem to doubt that Tottenham would seriously want a player who flip flops between performance levels each week and has six goals and six assists to his name this season.

As far as they’re concerned Isaksen remains inconsistent, something of an enigma, and if his agents aren’t confirming Tottenham’s interest, the newspaper are struggling to believe it exists at all.
