Arsenal are again being linked to Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo.
Back in September, Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola claimed the Gunners were one of the clubs who have been analysing the player.
Now as ESPN Brasil shares a story on the race for his signing, Arsenal are named as a club who have made approaches for his signing.
The Gunners’ interest doesn’t sound so strong, though, with the story saying that Chelsea and Barcelona are the strongest contenders for now.
Moscardo has been having ups and downs at Corinthians, but his potential is still well rated by European clubs.
Chelsea are the club who’ve been pushing harder for him, with reports this week claiming they recently made a new offer for his signing.
ESPN claims the latest offer had been delivered by Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci, who have good relationships with Premier League clubs and the Brazilian side.
It’s well known that Arsenal have strong ties with those intermediaries as well, so it’s no surprise to see them linked. It’s also worth recalling that Edu Gaspar used to be a football director at Corinthians, and knows Joorabchian and Bertolucci well.
