Deportivo La Coruna’s efforts to bring Lucas Perez back from Arsenal were pretty clear in the summer, and the player’s desire was never a big secret.

Now on loan at his home town club, the striker has five goals this season, a reason why they would now work on a permanent transfer, according to reports from Spain.

But maybe Perez is not the only Arsenal player who Deportivo believe they can sign. There’s another old target who could go the same way soon.

As reported by El Gol Digital today, the La Liga side already tried to sign goalkeeper David Ospina last summer, and could include him in talks when negotiating for Perez.

Currently sitting on Arsenal’s bench, Ospina has already made it clear that he’s not returning to his home country Chile so soon, and that’s why Deportivo believe he could be an option.

Maybe the Spanish side will try to get a ‘2 for 1’ discount in the summer, while Arsenal would offload two players who don’t seem to be in Arsene Wenger’s plans.

There’d be two things to note here. Firstly, El Gol aren’t exactly the most trustworthy of sources, and secondly, Deportivo La Coruna had to scrape behind the back of the sofa to come up with a deal for Lucas Perez, on loan.

Any attempt for Ospina too would surely see Arsenal dragged to the edges of their patience.
