Arsenal showed keen interest in Dušan Vlahović before he turned them down and joined Juventus in January 2022.

However, the Gunners had to wait until the summer to bolster their strike force and they did it by signing Gabriel Jesus.

An injury setback will force Jesus to spend the next three months away from the pitch and this would force Arsenal to look for a new striker. Vlahović could be one of the options.

The Serbia international has struggled with form and fitness this season, while Juve have managed to win in his absence. He also failed to impress at the World Cup.

These factors, the ‘judicial storm’ around the Old Lady and interest shown in the striker by other clubs have changed his position at the club. That’s according to Calciomercato, who state Vlahović is ‘now on the market’.

It’s said four to five clubs are in the picture, including Mikel Arteta’s side. Among these, ‘Arsenal are in the lead’ to sign Vlahović in the January window. In other words, Arteta will be given a second chance to sign him for the north London club

After being deemed ‘immovable’ in the summer, Vlahović’s situation at Juve has drastically changed in the past few months.

Time should tell whether Arsenal would be able to convince the Serbian to join them this time around, or if they have the money needed to please the Serie A side.
