Arsenal and Chelsea are in the picture to sign Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot as a potential free agent next summer.

The midfielder’s deal runs down in 2023 and the Serie A side are working to tie down his long-term future.

Calciomercato have a report on the 27-year-old, where they discuss his demands to sign a new deal, and his suitors. This includes Arsenal and Chelsea.

The France international came close to leaving the Turin club for Manchester United in the summer. Hs mother, Veronique, who is also his agent, had demanded €10m net per year from the Red Devils, which they refused.

Rabiot continued with the Old Lady and has starred for them this term. He also impressed for Les Blues in their 4-1 win over Australia at the 2022 World Cup.

The time left on his deal could complicate things for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, and more so if he goes on to impress for France in the FIFA tournament.

Rabiot earns €7m per year and it will be difficult for the Italian club to make an improved offer. His agent’s request [from the summer] of €10m net annually is something that a few clubs in the Premier League are ready to offer.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are named.

It’s said the Gunners and Graham Potter’s side are ‘ready to satisfy’ Veronique’s demands to sign Rabiot.

The Allegri factor would have an important role in Rabiot staying at Juve after June 2023, but the manager alone may not be able to hold on to the player.
