Arsenal and Aston Villa are also showing an interest in Las Palmas goalkeeper Álvaro Valles as he gears up for a transfer in the summer.
That’s according to Grada 3, who throw both clubs into the mix for the goalkeeper and say they’re very much part of a growing list of admirers.
Valles has been impressing for Las Palmas this season and seems to be determined to secure himself a big transfer as a result.
His current contract with the Spanish side expires next season but he’s made it clear he won’t be renewing, which means Las Palmas need to sell this summer to ensure they don’t lose him for nothing.
The Premier League already showed interest in January when Nottingham Forest saw a bid rejected, and Wolves have been credited with an interest over the last few weeks too.
Now Arsenal and Aston Villa can be added, with both sides said to be ‘following him’ ahead of a potential move in the summer.
They appear to just be on the sidelines looking in for now, rather than having registered a firm interest.
It seems strange for either side to be keen really given Arsenal will sign David Raya permanently and Aston Villa have Emi Martinez and it seems unlikely Valles will move to be a number two, even in the Premier League.
Instead, this could be his agent just drumming up interest and dropping names to build up interest ahead of what is likely to be a very busy summer.
