Austrian newspaper Kurier features a long interview with Crystal Palace coach Michael Angerschmid, who seems to be quite happy at the club.

Invited by Oliver Glasner, the assistant arrived at Selhurst Park in February this year, and they now share the objective of avoiding relegation to the Championship and securing Premier League status as soon as possible.

On the decision to join, the Austrian insists it was easy after the invitation: “Oli made his decision and asked: Are you coming?”

Even though Kurier call Crystal Palace one of the ‘smaller’ clubs in the Premier League, Angerschmid ended up highlighting the quality they have at the club and in the squad.

“It’s not difficult to settle in. The individual quality of the players is very, very high. You explain something and they try to implement it immediately and can do it relatively quickly,” said Angerschmid.

Angerschmid even explained that he’s still living in a hotel, as he’s looking for a ‘two-bedroom flat’, and is currently looking at one near the Tower Bridge. Even though he claims he hasn’t seen everything in London so far, he’s confident that he and Glasner’s staff will be at Crystal Palace for a long period, giving them time to get to know the whole city.

“But I assume that we’ll be there for longer. There will still be enough time to have a look.”

Following the weekend’s 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace will be back in action tomorrow, when they visit Bournemouth. Then it’ll be time for a tough sequence against Manchester City and Liverpool.
