The Turkish media are now bursting with excitement over what they see as the expected arrival of Mesut Ozil at Fenerbahce. The story has been building in the Turkish media for a few days, and on Thursday it was also reported in Germany that a move is closing in for the Arsenal player.

Sabah, one of the biggest news outlets in the country, has covered the transfer on TV, online and in their newspaper. They say there’s now ‘agreement on everything’, and go on to explain that Ozil’s legal representatives have met Arsenal and reached a deal on his exit.

Whilst it was previously stated Ozil would be wearing the No.23 shirt at Fenerbahce, there’s now some disagreement over this.

Regardless of that, a ‘special ceremony’ is being planned to present the Arsenal player when he arrives in Turkey.

In a separate article, Sabah say the move has been ‘finalised’.

A Spor journalist Ahmet Selim Kul, who is widely respected in Turkey, has also go in on the story… building excitement on Twitter.

Contracts are expected to be signed soon, and there’s even claims an announcement could happen on Saturday.
