Last Friday, Sevilla manager Jorge Sampaoli admitted his side are keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Bryan Gil in the winter market.

A day later, Marca stated the 21-year-old’s entourage had made a trip to London to put pressure on Spurs to sanction a move for him.

It seems like this has worked out in the La Liga side’s favour as the forward is expected to join them on a loan deal until the end of this season.

According to ABC de Sevilla, the Tottenham player is set to be the next player to arrive at the Andalusian club before the window closes on Tuesday.

They relay a claim made by El Desmarque that explains Gil’s return to the Spanish club should be practically closed and only a few fringes are left to be sorted out for the deal to take shape.

El Chiringuito journalist Gonzalo Tortosa states the ‘agreement [is] closed’, likely between Tottenham and Sampaoli’s side, for the Spain international’s transfer.

Tortosa further adds Gil ‘will arrive today’ in Spain to complete a loan move to the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
