As you might have heard, Fulham, fresh from their promotion to the Premier League, are trying to get a new goalkeeper.
The man they appear to have set their sights on for the upcoming season is Arsenal’s Bernd Leno, who is currently out of favour with the Gunners.
Losing his spot to Aaron Ramsdale, the German goalkeeper sat patiently on the bench last season, but it’s clear he wants to play, and Fulham are ready to give him that opportunity.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg took to Twitter to bring the latest update on the situation, explaining that while Leno is currently training with Arsenal, the Gunners are ‘negotiating with Fulham’.
Update #Leno: He is still participating in the training sessions from #Arsenal. They are negotiating with Fulham. An agreement this week is possible. Player still has an agreement with #FFC about a contract until 2025 + 1 year option. @SkySportDE 🇩🇪 https://t.co/3V3TIEIHL5

It’s even stated that ‘an agreement this week is possible’, after the player himself reached his own agreement with the Cottagers for a contract until 2025 + an option for an extra year.
We now have to wait and see if Arsenal and Fulham can shake hands on an amount for the transfer, leaving Leno to stay put in London, only with a different shirt.
