It’s no secret that Torino would like to keep Dennis Praet from Leicester City following his loan spell in Serie A.

The Turin side, however, struggled with the price for a permanent move, and that opens a local competition for the signing.

So according to Torino Granata, Fiorentina remain strong in their race as well, as a story on their website today claims La Viola have the midfielder as one of their top targets this summer.

Earlier this month, it was reported by Corriere Dello Sport that the purple side offered €7m to sign Praet, but the Foxes would like at least €10m to sell him.

Now although the chase remains, that doesn’t mean any of the clubs will move fast for the signing.

The report claims Fiorentina are ‘waiting for Leicester City to lower the price’ before they make a new attempt to sign Praet.

So even though the competition from Italian sides should help the Foxes get a bigger amount for the player, it still sounds like the Serie A clubs will be waiting for discounts until they make a more serious effort.
