Fanatik report Galatasaray have agreed a deal to sign Gary Cahill from Chelsea but the Turkish club are looking to offload Maicon before bringing in the English defender.

We recently covered reports from the Turkish press that Cahill is a target for Galatasaray as they look to land the Chelsea defender before the Super Lig transfer deadline on Friday.

However, due to their financial situation it seems the Istanbul club need to offload Maicon to fund a deal for Cahill.

Maicon has been linked with a move to Al Hilal but after the Saudi Arabia transfer deadline passed, Galatasaray are now hoping to sell him elsewhere.

According to Fanatik, Galatasaray have agreed personal terms with Cahill with recent reports Chelsea are willing to sell the England international to the Super Lig club.

The central defender could struggle to get games at Chelsea this season and may need to move on to get playing time at another club.
