Chelsea fullback Emerson Palmieri continues being linked to Serie A clubs, but the rumours no longer seem as strong as they used to be.

The player’s agent is often speaking to the Italian media about it, and despite encouraging the transfer a few times, things have been changing a little lately.

Fernando Garcia was interviewed by FC Inter 1908 this week, and when asked about the chances of a move in January, he turned it down.

“Away from Chelsea in January? I don’t believe. I don’t know if there will be the possibility of returning to Italy. There have been no contacts with Inter for now. Emerson has a good relationship with Lampard,” Fernando Garcia told FC Inter 1908.

With a little bit of insistence, he was asked about the ‘esteem’ that Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte has for the player, and Garcia claimed ‘the esteem is mutual’.

Emerson Palmieri hasn’t only been linked to Inter Milan this year, but also to the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli.

The Brazilian had a slow start in the season, as he was getting very few minutes under Frank Lampard. However, things seem to be changing a little, especially with him being used in the match against West Ham last night. So it makes sense for his agent to be more cautious now.
