Manchester United and other European clubs are chasing Bulgarian youngster Nikola Iliev.

The 15-year-old is currently representing PFC Botev Plovdiv, a club in his homeland, and made his debut for their first team last month.

Iliev has two first team appearances to his name and even before representing PFC Botev Plovdiv’s senior team, he had caught the attention of top European clubs.

The attacking midfielder is expected to join Inter Milan in the upcoming transfer window. The teenager’s representative Kaloyan Ivanov has confirmed his client has decided to join the Serie A side over the Red Devils and other clubs.

“Iliev is the purest talent of all Bulgarian football. We are talking about a fantastic player, tall, strong, powerful and at the same time very skilled. A rare combination these days. We already agreed on everything with Inter,” Ivanov told FcInterNews.

“PSG, Manchester United, Ajax and other top clubs were very interested in him. But we chose the Nerazzurri because we considered Inter the best project for the player.”

Ivanov also said the Coronavirus travel ban is the reason the move to Inter is still not completed.

“We agreed before the pandemic and we will formalise everything once we can fly back to Italy,” he added.
