Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez has become one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.
He dominated his side of the pitch against Manchester City at the weekend, helping the Cherries pick up a 2-1 win and receiving praise for his performance.
Impressive showings aren’t new for the Bournemouth star but there is now some regret in Italy about how he has grown into the dominant full-back that he is and done it elsewhere.
Pianeta Milan note that Kerkez was once part of Milan’s Primavera side and even played for the club’s youth side in the UEFA Youth League.
The outlet state that at one point, it was expected that Kerkez would become an alternative to Theo Hernandez, and after a stint at AZ Alkmaar, he was also drawing interest from Lazio. That is when Bournemouth signed him.
They hail him as ‘one of the best’ left-backs around and believe he is turning into an ‘extraordinary success’ at Bournemouth. The Rossoneri, it is stated, see the Hungarian as a ‘missed opportunity’ who could have succeded for Milan but the club didn’t have the patience to see him develop.
